Welcome to Ascend Media.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, and any video editing, content repurposing, creative, or related services provided by Ascend Media.

By purchasing or using our services, you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to these Terms.

Our Services

Ascend Media provides short-form content production and related creative services, including but not limited to:

  • Short-form video editing

  • Content clipping and repurposing

  • TikTok content

  • Instagram Reels

  • YouTube Shorts

  • Facebook short-form content

  • Captions and subtitles

  • Motion graphics

  • Hook and pacing optimization

  • Content selection

  • Platform-specific formatting

  • Other creative services agreed upon with the Client

The exact services included in your package or agreement will be specified before work begins.

What We Handle

Our goal is to remove the short-form production workload from your team.

Depending on your selected service, Ascend Media may handle:

Content Selection → Editing → Captions → Formatting → Revisions → Final Delivery

The exact scope depends on the package purchased.

Unless specifically included in your agreement, services such as posting, community management, account management, paid advertising, scriptwriting, filming, or social media management are not included.

Client Responsibilities

To provide the services effectively, the Client agrees to:

  • Provide the necessary source footage and materials.

  • Provide accurate instructions and brand guidelines where applicable.

  • Ensure that supplied materials are legally usable.

  • Provide feedback within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Maintain access to any required platforms, folders, or project-management systems.

  • Notify Ascend Media of relevant deadlines in advance.

Delays caused by missing footage, information, approvals, or feedback may affect delivery timelines.

Content Ownership & Rights

The Client retains ownership of the original content and materials supplied to Ascend Media.

Upon full payment for the applicable services, the Client receives the agreed rights to use the completed final deliverables for their intended commercial and social-media purposes.

Ascend Media does not claim ownership of the Client's original footage, recordings, logos, branding, or other intellectual property supplied by the Client.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Ascend Media retains ownership of its underlying editing techniques, workflows, templates, systems, and proprietary production methods.

Revisions

Each service package may include a specified number of revision rounds.

A revision means a reasonable adjustment to the agreed creative direction.

Requests that substantially change the original concept, require a new edit, or go beyond the agreed scope may be treated as additional work and may incur additional fees.

Revision requests should be provided clearly and within the agreed review period.

Turnaround & Delivery

Estimated turnaround times will depend on:

  • Package selected

  • Number of videos

  • Length and complexity of source material

  • Client responsiveness

  • Revision requirements

  • Production volume

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed deadlines unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.

Ascend Media will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed delivery schedules.

Payment

The Client agrees to pay the fees specified in the applicable proposal, package, invoice, or agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Work begins after the required payment has been received.

  • Services may be paused if payment becomes overdue.

  • Final deliverables may be withheld until outstanding payments are settled.

  • Additional work outside the agreed scope may be billed separately.

All applicable taxes, transaction fees, or payment-processing fees will be handled according to the applicable agreement and law.

Cancellation

Either party may terminate an ongoing service arrangement according to the cancellation terms specified in the Client's agreement.

Fees for work already completed, production already undertaken, or services already provided remain payable.

Where work has already begun on a project, cancellation does not automatically entitle the Client to a refund for completed or committed work.

Refunds

Because Ascend Media provides customized creative services, refunds are generally evaluated based on the circumstances of the request and the work already performed.

If a refund policy applies to a particular package, that policy will be provided to the Client before purchase.

No refund will be provided for work that has already been completed and delivered solely because the Client subsequently changes their mind about the creative direction.

Portfolio & Marketing Use

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Ascend Media may display completed work produced for the Client in its:

  • Website

  • Portfolio

  • Social-media accounts

  • Case studies

  • Marketing materials

We may also reference the Client's publicly available social-media account or publicly available performance metrics for portfolio purposes.

If a Client requires confidentiality or does not want their work publicly displayed, this must be communicated to Ascend Media before the relevant work is published or included in marketing materials.
